Website redesign and custom interface

Porch Stomp

I redesigned Porch Stomp’s website so visitors could find the lineup, stages, and ways to participate more easily.

Porch Stomp project

The situation

A growing festival had outgrown a collection of pages.

Porch Stomp needed visitors to understand the event, find artists and stages, participate, support the festival, and explore past years without learning the site’s internal history first.

The challenge was not simply visual. The information needed a clearer hierarchy and a structure that could keep growing.

What I changed

Navigation

I grouped the site around the questions a visitor actually arrives with.

Mobile readability

I reduced dense blocks, strengthened hierarchy, and designed controls for smaller screens.

Lineup discovery

I created a lineup interface that supports browsing now and a searchable archive later.

Participation

I made artist, volunteer, support, and mailing-list paths easier to find.

Porch Stomp home page before redesign
Before: the home page carried too many competing messages.
Porch Stomp redesigned home page
Current: a clearer hierarchy and a stronger event invitation.
Porch Stomp stages page before redesign
Before: stage information was difficult to scan.
Porch Stomp lineup browser
Current: a lineup browser designed for discovery and future archives.

Result

The result is a clearer festival experience that supports discovery now and a growing archive later.
